On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, attended the G20 summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa. During the summit’s opening session, Sheikh Khaled delivered the UAE’s statement under the themes of Building Economies; the Role of Trade; Financing for Development; and the Debt Burden. He conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the participating leaders and expressed gratitude to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa for inviting the UAE to participate.
Sheikh Khaled emphasized the global partnership spirit embodied by the summit, supporting stronger market interconnectedness and deeper economic integration across countries and regions. He highlighted the UAE’s commitment to advancing global economic cooperation and strengthening a balanced, transparent international trading system that allows broader participation of developing countries in shaping future global trade.
Furthermore, Sheikh Khaled stressed the importance of facilitating access to better financing solutions to accelerate development and investment projects in advanced technology, energy, health, and agriculture.
