ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has inked a cooperation agreement with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), paving the way for more trade and investment engagement between Abu Dhabi and the Republic of Latvia.
The agreement was signed during a Joint Economic Committee meeting with the Republic of Latvia, which was chaired by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade, and reflects both sides’ shared commitment to deepening private-sector partnerships and expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
Aida Al Khoury signed the agreement on behalf of Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Katrina Zarina, Board Member and Director of External Relations at the LCCI. The signing creates a systematic framework for collaboration, aiming at simplifying commerce, promoting investment flows, and allowing enterprises in both countries to enter new markets.
The UAE and Latvia’s economic links are constantly growing. Bilateral non-oil trade reached US$103 million in 2024, representing a 7.5% compound annual growth rate over the previous five years and indicating a significant opportunity for additional increase. Plastics, chemicals, jewellery, and metal items are among the high-potential product categories that could lead to increasing UAE exports to Latvia.
