ABU DHABI: In the presence of Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism (MoET) and the Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in intellectual property (IP) and patents within the nuclear energy sector.
The agreement was signed during the Make it in the Emirates 2026 Forum by Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, and Mohamed Al Hammadi, ENEC’s Managing Director and Group CEO.
Under the terms of the MoU, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and ENEC shall work together to establish a strong IP protection culture throughout ENEC and its subsidiaries. This comprises specialized training programs, knowledge-sharing workshops, and professional technical and legal consultations.
Furthermore, the Ministry will provide accelerated testing services for ENEC’s patent applications and assistance in the commercial marketing of registered patents, in line with ENEC’s aim to drive the development of high-tech nuclear intellectual capital.
