Australia and the UAE Will Promote Investment and Commercial Relations

PRAGUE: To enhance collaboration in promoting trade and investment between the UAE and Australia across important economic sectors, Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI), the federal export credit company of the United Arab Emirates, and Export Finance Australia (EFA), the export credit agency of Australia, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The signing ceremony was held at TXF Global, a prestigious international conference for export financing, in Prague. John Hopkins, Managing Director and CEO of EFA, and Raja Al Mazrouei, CEO of ECI, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Al Mazrouei stated, “We have a long-standing relationship based on mutual trust, shared values, and a strong commitment to economic diversification and sustainable growth. Australia is a valuable partner for the UAE.

According to her, the deal will strengthen bilateral economic ties and open new avenues for collaboration across key industries, in line with the goals of the UAE-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).Through this collaboration, we hope to open up new funding options for innovative, sustainable initiatives in high-priority areas including energy, infrastructure, and digital transformation. Al Mazrouei continued, “Strategic partnerships like this strengthen ECI’s role in advancing the UAE’s economic diversification agenda, boosting trade resilience, and further elevating the country’s global standing in export, investment, and international trade.”
