On the fringes of the Canada Investment Summit 2026 in Toronto, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney met with Foreign Trade Minister Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.Al Zeyoudi attended the Investment Summit with a high-level UAE group that included prominent investors, corporate executives, and representatives from the public and private sectors.
Al Zeyoudi greeted Prime Minister Carney at the beginning of the meeting on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vise President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vise President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. They also wished Canada and its people continued progress and prosperity.
Prime Minister Carney greeted the UAE leadership and welcomed Al Zeyoudi and his delegation. He conveyed his nation’s gratitude for the expanding bilateral ties with the UAE and his desire to keep enhancing them in areas of shared interest, most notably commerce and investment.
