DMCC Produces Tokenised World-Record 1,971kg Silver Bar Using the VARA Framework

DMCC has introduced the world’s largest silver bar as the first tokenized commodity asset under the DMCC-VARA tokenization framework, allowing eligible investors to purchase fractional digital interests in the 1,971kg Guinness World Record asset.

Tokinvest, a Dubai-based platform governed by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), will issue the interests as Asset-Referenced Virtual Assets (ARVA), with tokens deployed on the BNB Chain. Regulated secondary-market trading is expected to follow the first issuance, subject to regulatory and platform constraints.

The event follows plans revealed during the Dubai Precious Metals Conference in November 2025, when the bar was introduced after being recognised by Guinness World Records. SAM Precious Metals manufactured it in the UAE from 99.9% pure silver to commemorate the country’s founding year of 1971.

The bar is registered and validated by DMCC Tradeflow, which documents the possession and ownership of commodities stored in UAE-based facilities, and it is safely stored by Brink’s. Tokinvest will oversee the regulated issue, distribution, and secondary-market trading of digital interests. DMCC’s Executive Chairman and CEO, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, stated, “This launch demonstrates Dubai’s ability to connect established commodities infrastructure with digital technology and specialist expertise.
