Dubai Police Return Tourists’ Misplaced Belongings Valued at Dh26 Million

Dubai Police: In 2024, Dubai Police successfully restored Dh26 million worth of misplaced goods to their rightful owners through the General Department of Airport Security. The department’s staff worked hard to reach this goal, handling lost item reports effectively using a sophisticated lost-and-found system.

In keeping with Dubai Police’s goal of making the world a safer and more secure place for everyone, the airport security teams made sure that anyone who reported missing property were promptly reunited with their goods. The General Department of Airport Security’s Director, Brigadier Hamoudah Al Suwaidi Al Ameri, emphasised Dubai’s multicultural diversity and commitment to fostering community safety and well-being.

Dubai is a strong advocate for social responsibility, coexistence, and tolerance. With over 92 million travel movements in 2024—including transit passengers and arrivals—Dubai Dubai International Airport is the busiest hub and one of the most popular destinations in the world. “Many cases of lost luggage, including valuable items and cash, are inevitable with such high traffic,” he continued.

Brigadier Al Ameri reaffirmed Dubai Police’s dedication to fostering safety and confidence in tourists. “The General Department of Airport Security has established a solid reputation for offering exceptional traveler service domestically and internationally.
