The 38-year-old British boxer Amir Khan has disclosed that he and his family moved to Dubai after an armed robbery that left them extremely afraid to live in England. A watch belonging to the boxer was taken during an incident.
The watch was worth seventy-two thousand pounds. The boxer and his wife Feryal Makhdoom were dining at a restaurant in Leyton, East London, on April 18, 2022, when the incident occurred.
After being caught by the authorities, Dante Campbell and Ahmed Bana confessed to robbery and possessing a copy weapon; as a result, they were given prison terms (10 years for Bana and roughly eight years for Campbell). As a result, he decided to fly his wife and kids—Mohammad Zafiar (4), Alyan (6), and Lamisa (10), to Dubai, which is about 4,000 kilometres away.
Amir Khan cited his life in Dubai as evidence that he felt comfortable leaving his car door open, citing the increased security provided by the UAE’s more stringent regulations. He conveyed the idea that someone like him needs this sense of security.
In the past, he would often visit a café in London where gang battles occurred. This setting was considered inappropriate and unwanted. He said that getting into arguments or running into legal issues could have serious consequences.
