Emirati Women Inject Dhs 2.7b into Sharjah Property Market
Emirati women’s investments in the real estate sector in Sharjah had a trade value of Dhs2.7 billion in the period from January to August 2026. These investments were made in 3,385 properties traded on the market, and were purchased by 3,737 female Emirati investors, which indicates their well-established position as active players on the economic map, and their high level of confidence in the attractiveness of the economic and legislative environment in the emirate.
The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department has announced the statistics on the occasion of the Emirati Women’s Day celebration. They shed light on the vital role played by the UAE women in enriching the real estate scene and their mature investment acumen, which motivated them to establish sustainable capital assets that are in line with the entire development strategy of Sharjah.
The department’s statistical comparison between the comparable periods of 2025 and 2026 showed continued development in the participation of Emirati women. There was a 1.9 per cent increase in the number of properties traded, from 3,322 in 2025 to 3,385 in 2026. The number of owners also increased from 3,586 to 3,737, at a growth rate of 4.2%. The trade value rose from Dhs 2.6 billion to Dhs 2.7 billion with a growth rate of 1.2%.
