After a disagreement started on a social media site and escalated into an attack with a bladed weapon, Sharjah Police detained Asians involved in a fight that occurred in a part of the emirate, resulting in one person being killed and another being injured.
The incident began when the operations center received a report about a brawl between many individuals in front of a Sharjah retail center that ended with two people being stabbed with a sharp object. The National Ambulance took the injured to the hospital for medical attention after the responsible authorities raced to the scene, but one of them passed away from his wounds.
According to preliminary information, the conflict started on a social media site, escalated into a face-to-face altercation between some of the participants, and ultimately resulted in a brawl in which one of them employed a bladed weapon.
Within four hours of the incident, specialized teams from Sharjah Police identified and detained the persons involved and pursued appropriate legal action against them after conducting thorough investigations.
