A car fire that broke out on a major road in the Industrial Area on Monday was effectively put out by the firefighting units of the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, sparing no lives.
At around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, the operations room of the Sharjah Police General Command received a report that a small vehicle had caught fire in the middle of the main road in the Industrial Area. The National Ambulance, police patrols, and civil defence vehicles were sent to the scene in response.
Within two minutes of arriving on the scene, the Civil Defence team successfully put out the fire by implementing rapid fire suppression measures. Then, in order to protect nearby traffic and prevent the fire from starting again, they cooled the scene of the fire and made it easier for the car to be removed.
The public is urged to perform routine vehicle maintenance, especially during the summer, by the Civil Defence Authority in Sharjah. Additionally, owners of vehicles are urged by the appeal to make sure that fire extinguishers are easily accessible and that their vehicles go through the required inspections. In addition, it is recommended that drivers use caution and follow safety protocols to avoid starting car fires.
