
The UAE Ambassador to India, Abdulnasser Alshaali, hosted an iftar during the holy month of Ramadan at the UAE Embassy in New Delhi. Senior diplomats, government representatives, corporate executives, and dignitaries attended the iftar, emphasising the close cultural links and enduring friendship between the UAE and India.
Ambassador Alshaali emphasized the principles of peace and harmony that guide UAE-Indian relations at the iftar. He also highlighted the importance of the Holy Month of Ramadan as a period of unity and introspection.
It is a joy to greet so many friends and coworkers to the annual iftar event held at the UAE Embassy in New Delhi. Across boundaries and religions, such events serve to uphold the universal principles of tolerance, peace, and respect for one another. The UAE is dedicated to fostering inter-societal understanding and cross-cultural cooperation through its bilateral relationship with India. Our ties have continued to grow on these grounds in every field,” Ambassador Alshaali stated.
A traditional iftar dinner that showcased the rich cultural flavours of both countries was part of the program. The UAE Ambassador to India also offered guests the chance to speak with him directly about various significant issues, such as the UAE and India’s cultural, political, economic, and investment cooperation.
Bilateral ties have developed between the UAE and India, supported by close cooperation, regular high-level visits, and noteworthy projects like the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
