A startup has created a new artificial intelligence program that searches websites and social media platforms on the user’s behalf and sends them a text message if it finds something worth reading or viewing. Noscroll has created an AI agent to combat “doomscrolling” by perusing the internet on behalf of the user.
According to the business, the application scans multiple websites and social media platforms based on your interests. Instead of spending hours scrolling through feeds, the AI selects content that it thinks “worth reading or viewing” and sends you a direct text message with highlights or links.
The concept is quite straightforward: it’s a bot that reads the web for you.
Nadav Hollander, who was previously the CTO of the NFT marketplace OpenSea after selling his decentralized finance firm to the company in 2022, stated that he founded Noscroll because he had a love/hate relationship with X. During his leave from OpenSea, he spent a significant amount of time on social media.”It’s phenomenally entertaining and extremely informative in ways that you don’t get from traditional media,” Hollander told TechCrunch. Hollander stated that he wanted to exit the app without missing out on news and material. That motivated him to create Noscroll, which was made available to the public only a few days ago.
