New Facilities for the 2024–2025 Academic year are Unveiled by Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services

For the 2024–2025 academic year, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) will accept students with disabilities into its brand-new facilities in Al Badeea, Al Barashi.

This completes the project’s first phase, which was supported by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and in accordance with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s initiatives.

The General Administration, the Severe Disabilities Centre “evening period,” the Al Wafa School for Capacity Development “Yarmouk and Ramla,” and the Sharjah Autism Centre are all part of the project’s initial phase.

The SCHS Chairperson, Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, commended the teamwork and emphasised how the project reflected Sheikh Sultan’s forward-thinking direction. The city’s dedication to providing top-notch services and solid partnerships is evident in the first phase. The city is known for being a leader in assisting those with disabilities, and it plans to build a comprehensive complex to further this goal.

According to Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafei, Director-General of SCHS, the first phase of the 575,000-square-meter plot donated by the Ruler of Sharjah covers 100,000 square meters. The new project features several key facilities, including an administration building and a library designed for students and researchers, offering an environment with state-of-the-art inclusive and accessible resources and technologies.
