Drivers and automobile owners have been cautioned by the Ras Al Khaimah Police about deceptive auto insurance ads that try to take advantage of their desire in lower prices. These dishonest tactics are intended to trick gullible people.
The Director General of Police Operations in Ras Al Khaimah, Brigadier Tariq Mohammed Bin Saif, emphasized the increasing frequency of fraudulent auto insurance advertisements, especially on social media sites that have a large readership. To raise public awareness of these deceptive activities, a digital awareness campaign has been initiated using the official Ras Al Khaimah Police accounts and website.
Brigadier Tariq claims that these bogus ads, which pose as reputable insurance companies or licensed brokers, frequently push insurance policies at suspiciously cheap prices. After being tricked into sending money, many victims learn that the policies are fraudulent.
Before making payments, he advised drivers and car owners to confirm the licensure of any brokers or insurance businesses with the relevant authorities. He also emphasized the significance of requesting an official and current insurance coverage as soon as payment is received. To guard against financial frauds, he suggested avoiding agreements that look too good to be true and rejecting untrustworthy offers.
