
The chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, stressed the need to expand strategic alliances and bolster economic collaboration between the Republic of Estonia and Sharjah’s corporate groups.
He highlighted the encouraging prospects for increasing trade and investment in important areas, especially sustainable agriculture and sophisticated technology, complementing each country’s growth goals. These statements were delivered at a formal meeting between Al Owais and Maria Belovas, the Republic of Estonia’s ambassador to the UAE, and her entourage at the SCCI headquarters.
Along with several representatives from both sides, Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Muqarrab, the director of SCCI’s International Relations Department, and Raghda Hamad Omran Taryam, a board member of SCCI, attended the meeting.
Al Owais emphasised during the meeting the encouraging prospects for strong bilateral cooperation and a long-term collaboration between Estonia and Sharjah in the fields of technology and agriculture.
He emphasised how the investment ecosystems in both nations have a similar interest in promoting digital transformation, encouraging innovation through cutting-edge technology, and advancing strategic objectives in food security through adopting sustainable and intelligent farming practices.
