His Majesty Under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai has become a global leader in determining the direction of the digital economy, according to Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that Dubai has been able to solidify its position as a worldwide centre of innovation and a platform for outstanding ideas that have the potential to propel significant technical developments because to Sheikh Mohammed’s vision.
Sheikh Hamdan made these statements at the Museum of the Future’s “Create Apps Championship” concluding event. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, hosted the competition. Twelve finalists were chosen from 4,710 applications.
The competition is a component of Sheikh Hamdan’s “Create Apps in Dubai” campaign, which started in March 2023 to strengthen Dubai’s standing as a world leader in digital technology and smart applications.
“We are dedicated to increasing our investments in cutting-edge digital technologies further to establish Dubai as a global centre for technological innovation,” stated Sheikh Hamdan. Dubai is pursuing its own route towards a knowledge-based economic model as part of this goal, driven by cutting-edge technologies and their extensive capabilities, which provide strong underpinnings for a sustainable digital economy that supports Dubai’s all-encompassing development in all sectors.
