The Honourable Sharjah’s ruler and Supreme Council member, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, was present at the opening of the third International Forum of Arabic Language Teachers on Saturday at the Sharjah Education Academy’s University City headquarters, which was organised by the Sharjah Private Education Authority in partnership with the academy.
The United Arab Emirates’ national song was played after passages from the Holy Quran kicked off the opening ceremony. Before the opening ceremony, Sheikh Sultan had visited the student exhibition that accompanied the forum. As part of the “Speaking in Arabic” program, he heard about the contributions of several creative students in the areas of theatre, poetry, scholar biographies, and their distinguished history. Sheikh Sultan also visited a number of educational platforms at the exhibition, such as the Dar Kalimat Publishing House, the ALEF Platform for Education, the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence platform, the Sharjah Heritage Platform, and the Hamdan Bin Rashid Heritage Platform.
The activities of the Third International Forum for Arabic Language Teachers include a series of key events where experts and specialists discuss important topics, including efforts to preserve the Arabic language and enhance its status.
