The UAE Acknowledges a Targeted Strike by Sudanese Army on the Ambassador’s Home in Khartoum

He emphasised the existence of photographs and documents that conclusively establish the targeting of the Ambassador’s residence, undercutting the false narrative promoted by the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Armed Forces. His Excellency noted that the Sudanese Armed Forces have repeatedly attempted to avoid legal and moral accountability for the ongoing humanitarian disaster in Sudan as a result of this conflict by misleading the international community and diverting attention away from the Sudanese people’s suffering, while ignoring their obligations imposed by international efforts to end the conflict. The UAE, along with its partners, continues to work hard for a peaceful conclusion.

Al Jaberi further emphasised that the Sudanese Armed Forces’ continuing denial and attempts to blame others, while refusing to accept responsibility, demonstrate a flagrant contempt for the Sudanese people’s suffering and legitimate aspirations for security and development. This is clear in their desperate attempts and charges made over the last nine months as part of an agenda against the UAE, which have been challenged and discredited by documented evidence. He also summoned United Nations specialists to study the evidence and assess the damage inflicted by the strike.
