The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) marked its tenth anniversary of operations in the Republic of Korea. To commemorate the milestone, Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, organised a roadshow and a reception to thank key stakeholders who have contributed to DET’s success in Korea over the last decade.
His visit is the most recent in a string of engagements and initiatives in major source markets that have helped generate significant interest in Dubai and elevated its advocacy to new heights. This is consistent with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aim to strengthen the city’s position as a top global destination for business and leisure.
DET signed crucial memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Korea’s most influential institutions last week, including a leading media behemoth and a major leader in the finance industry, marking a big step forward in its approach to the market. These agreements will help to boost Dubai’s status as a top worldwide destination, with an emphasis on expanding the city’s wellness and fitness offerings while also leveraging popular cultural content and high-profile people.
The agreements will also include creating and implementing joint marketing campaigns, emphasising data-driven service upgrades to support DET’s objective of cementing Dubai’s position as the finest location to visit, live, and work.
