Trump Displays his Photo on a New US Passport

In honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence, President Donald Trump revealed a drawing of a special, limited-edition US passport that features his stern-faced visage. Welcome, but be good!” reads the New Passport of the United States of America. Trump stated in a post that included the passport mock-up on his Truth Social platform.

The language of the Declaration of Independence appears in the background of the picture, which shows a sulky Trump leaning on his desk and signing. It seems to be based on a portrait that Daniel Torok, a White House photographer, took.

The art on the other side depicts the signing of the declaration in 1776 and reads “United States of America 250.The same passport rendering was shared by the White House along with the phrase “PATRIOT PASSPORT.”

A request for comment was not immediately answered by the State Department, which had earlier declared that a commemorative passport with “custom artwork” will be available starting on July 6. A department official stated in April that the Trump-themed passports would only be offered in person in Washington “for as long as there is availability.
