UAE: Strategies for Companies to Adjust to Ramadan work Schedules Without Sacrificing Output

The UAE’s businesses are preparing for the shift in working hours as the holy month of Ramadan approaches. Government personnel now have the option of remote work and flexible scheduling, while private sector employees have their working hours cut by two hours. In order to maintain seamless operations while honouring the demands of their employees, businesses are not only modifying their schedules but also investigating creative approaches.

A local food truck called Atifa is one company adjusting to these developments. The proprietor, Ahmed Mahdi, explained how the food scene changes during Ramadan. Ahmed also stresses how important menu changes are. Following a long day of fasting, we provide our patrons unique meals that are filling and healthy. It’s about creating an experience that embodies the spirit of Ramadan, not simply about the food.

He emphasised how his staff members are taught to keep a positive attitude even during late hours, frequently enjoying iftar meals together, which helps them feel united and purposeful. An organised timetable has been put in place by Ahmed to guarantee that his staff members get enough sleep during this taxing time. “We have designated rest periods for our personnel during the day.
