With The Award of 300 New Plates, Dubai Taxi’s Fleet Now Numbers 6,000

The largest taxi company in Dubai, Dubai Taxi Company, declared on Friday that it had won 300 new license plates at the most recent Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) auction. With the award, DTC’s fleet of taxis grows to nearly 6,000 vehicles, boosting its market share to 46% and showcasing its dedication to meeting the emirate’s increasing demand for efficient and sustainable transportation due to strong population and economic growth.

The company’s fleet expansion and enhancement strategy will be demonstrated by the increased fleet, which is anticipated to bring in an additional Dhs100 million in revenue annually. The CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, Mansoor Rahma Al Falasi, stated: “A crucial component of DTC’s fleet expansion strategy is the awarding of 300 new plates. Our fleet has increased by about 10% in 2024 to reach almost 9,000 vehicles in all of our segments, which include buses, motorbikes, limousines, and taxis.

“Our investment in growth, innovation and customer-centric solutions underscores our position as the leading transport operator in Dubai.” He said that 25% of the 300 new plates will go towards electric taxis, demonstrating the company’s dedication to sustainability. “This move is part of the company’s strategy to transition towards innovative low carbon mobility solutions and support Dubai’s net zero emissions target by 2050.”
