Travel Between the UAE and India: Akasa Air Begins Offering Daily Direct Flights from Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, to Abu Dhabi

In addition to its daily service between Mumbai and the UAE capital, Indian airline Akasa Air began offering daily direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Bengaluru and Mumbai. According to the firm, “a favourable response on Akasa’s Mumbai-Abu Dhabi route and flourishing demand for travel to UAE from all corners of the country” are the main drivers of the strategic growth.

The daily trip to Bengaluru departs at 10 a.m. and lands in Abu Dhabi at 12:35 p.m. The flight back to the Indian city departs at 3 a.m. and lands at 08:45 a.m. local time. The daily trip to Ahmedabad departs at 22:45 and lands in Abu Dhabi at 1am. The flight back to Ahmedabad departs at 14:50 and lands at 19:25 local time.

Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Port Blair, Ayodhya, and Gwalior are among the 22 Indian and five foreign cities that Akasa Air presently serves.

The airline began its first commercial flight on August 7, 2022 to meet the increasing demand throughout India. On March 28, 2024, it began operating internationally, providing nonstop flights from Mumbai to Doha.
