A Team from the Maldives Visits the Sustainability Center at DEWA

The Sustainability and Innovation Center of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park was visited by a high-level delegation from the Republic of the Maldives.
The group gained knowledge of DEWA’s proficiency in clean energy, renewable energy, and environmental initiatives.

Minister of State for Climate Change, Environment, and Energy Ibrahim Mimrah, Minister of State for Finance Zidna Ibrahim, Minister of State for Economic Development and Trade Hussain Zamir, Deputy Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Suood, and Deputy Minister of Finance Aishath Umaima were among the delegation members.

The tour was a component of the “Maldives Executive Leadership Program,” which was run by the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government and the UAE Government Experience Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.

By utilizing the knowledge and experience of the UAE government, the program seeks to strengthen Maldivian government capacities. It includes field trips to UAE entities to discover their accomplishments and best practices in international government administration. The team received an overview of DEWA’s clean and renewable energy initiatives while touring the Sustainability and Innovation Center.
