Dubai Customs Intelligence Leads to the Seizure of a Large Cocaine cargo Bound for an African Country

Dubai Customs has delivered a severe blow to international drug trafficking networks by providing intelligence that resulted in the interception of a large Tapentadol shipment bound for an African country.

The consignment, which originated in Asia and was transported by air cargo, was brought to a halt by the cross-border intelligence collaboration that has become a hallmark of Dubai’s rising role in global security.

The shipment weighed roughly 1.332 tons of narcotic pills, making it one of the most significant incidents demonstrating the crucial need of international customs cooperation and intelligence sharing in combating cross-border smuggling networks and organized crime.

This achievement is the result of Dubai Customs’ long-term efforts to protect communities, strengthen international security and stability, and combat the trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances, which endangers young people, families, and national economies around the world.

This operation also reflects the qualitative development Dubai Customs has undergone in recent years. Its role has expanded beyond just protecting the UAE’s borders and customs ports of entry; it is now an active international partner in the global security architecture, contributing its expertise and intelligence capabilities to protect communities and international supply chains from the threats posed by organized crime and drug trafficking.
