The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health revealed on Saturday that the dead toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2nd has grown to 3,756. According to a daily report released by the ministry’s Health Emergency Operations Centre, the number of injured people has risen to 11,632.
According to another report, Israeli attacks were reported in Lebanon’s south on Saturday, with the Israeli army issuing evacuation warnings for Nabatieh and more than 20 other places before of the raid.
The new strikes occurred as the United States and Iran signaled they were close to striking an agreement to end the Middle East war, which might possibly involve Lebanon, which was brought into the battle when Hezbollah fought Israel in behalf of its benefactor Tehran. According to the state-run National News Agency (NNA), Israeli aircraft targeted many localities, including the southern city of Nabatieh.
An AFP photojournalist in Nabatieh reported hearing explosives in Kfar Remman, which has been repeatedly targeted, and seeing a column of smoke rising from Kfar Tebnit, which was not included in the evacuation orders.
