The UAE urged the international community to act quickly to stop the escalation and to put measures in place to protect civilians after denouncing Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of Palestinians and violated the ceasefire agreement signed in January, have been strongly denounced by the UAE, according to a statement released by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The UAE issues a warning about the repercussions of any military escalation that could worsen the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and result in more innocent deaths. The UAE has affirmed the significance of putting quick initiatives into place to establish a ceasefire and protect civilians, and it has called on the international community to take decisive action to stop escalation,” the statement continued.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the UAE reaffirmed the significance of ending life-threatening punitive measures, reestablishing electricity, opening crossings, and enabling the prompt, sustained, and unimpeded supply of humanitarian aid. The UAE further emphasized how important it is that the ceasefire agreement between the two sides be resumed. The Ministry also cautioned that the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on residential areas and people will worsen the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and have a regional impact that could result in greater violence, tension, and instability.
