For drawing a comparison between the continuing conflict in Gaza and the destructive wildfires presently destroying the Los Angeles region, Jamie Lee Curtis is facing criticism. For the new drama, a video of the 66-year-old Oscar winner saying those things during a recent Q&A session with her co-star Pamela Anderson from The Last Showgirl has gone viral.

According to the Freaky Friday star, the entire Pacific Palisades city has vanished.I mean, my neighborhood is completely gone. I live in another canyon, yet my house is still there tonight. “Unfortunately, the entire Pacific Palisades looks like Gaza or one of these war-torn countries where awful things have happened,” Curtis continues. Curtis recently announced a $1 million commitment in relief funding to support Los Angeles amid the devastating fires.
