Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), recently presided over the Authority’s fourth Board of Directors meeting. Board members, executives, and representatives from several Authority departments attended the meeting, which reviewed important milestones and presented strategic plans to promote innovation, improve institutional performance, and strengthen Sharjah’s standing as a leading center for publishing and culture.
Sheikha Bodour opened the meeting by restating the Authority’s commitment to the goal of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council, which is to make the emirate a central worldwide hub for publishing and culture. She praised the advancements made possible by calculated actions that have strengthened Sharjah’s position on the global publishing scene.
The work we do at Sharjah Book Authority is about strengthening Sharjah’s cultural foundations, creating meaningful international collaboration, and constantly adapting to emerging challenges,” Sheikha Bodour said. Through narrative, the projects we do create enduring relationships that improve the publishing environment both domestically and internationally. Through literature, everything we do moves us one step closer to a dynamic, sustainable, and inclusive future.
