Renowned for its deep dedication to literature, culture, and knowledge, the emirate is undergoing major development projects, modernisation programs, and the transformation of the hilly and desert landscapes into aesthetically pleasing locations. At the same time, it is spreading modern, affluent lifestyles beyond rural areas and expanding transportation infrastructure networks, such as highways, bridges, and tunnels.
Over 53 years, the emirate of daily community services has amassed information about the needs of its inhabitants, decent and respectable housing, health care, and social insurance. Simultaneously, Sharjah’s cultural initiative has been continuously improved since the late 1970s and is still going strong now, helping the emirate strengthen its reputation both internationally and among Arabs.
The ruler of the emirate, which is characterised by its administrative uniqueness, artistic and creative traditions, and intelligent and effective management, is fair and educated and has shown a deep awareness of the community, its history, familial relationships, and its geographical features. He has a thorough awareness of the region’s hydrological characteristics, the geography of the clouds.
