Graduation ceremony for the spring semester 2026 at the University of Sharjah (UoS) the graduating students of the University of Sharjah graduated on Thursday at the University City Hall. Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS) attended the graduation event.
Speaking to the graduates, he said: “The merchants of the Arabian Gulf used to sail across the seas in the darkness of the night, before navigation systems and satellites, guided only by the stars. They understood the skies as well as you know your books, and read the winds as you read your research. They’d spent months in the unknown—not because the road was simple, but because the objective was worth it. And when they returned, they returned not for themselves, but with what fed families and established communities. They were not going to the water. They were going the way. The place was always here. In their motherland, with their people. “Today, you carry on that tradition.”
“You have sailed the oceans of knowledge as your forebears sailed the oceans, facing the challenges of research, the struggles of difficult questions and long nights of study. And now you go back not to the shore but to the civilization that awaits you.
