During his trip to the United Arab Emirates, Syrian Transitional Government Foreign Affairs Minister Asaad Al Shibani paid a visit to Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. During their tour of the mosque’s halls and outdoor corridors, Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidli, Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, joined the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and his delegation.
Inspired by the founding fathers’ history and ideals, they were exposed to the mosque’s cultural message of openness, tolerance, and coexistence. They also discovered how important the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre is to the global advancement of intercultural dialogue and the promotion of Islamic culture.
