President Donald Trump confirmed he called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insane in an expletive-laden phone exchange about fighting in Lebanon, at a time when the US was seeking to negotiate an end to hostilities with Iran.
In an interview broadcast Wednesday, Trump was questioned whether he had called the longtime Israeli leader “effing crazy” and accused him of ingratitude, repeating a report by Axios.
