UAE Flights: As Eid Al Fitr And the School Holidays Coincide, Airfares Rise By 20%

According to UAE travel experts, this year’s Eid Al Fitr inbound travel trend is increasing because of the pleasant weather. Despite a slowdown in business travel, airfares nationwide are still rising by at least 20% because the Eid Al Fitr holidays will partially fall with the spring break for schools.

While schools in the United Arab Emirates will start their spring vacation on March 18, Eid is anticipated to happen on March 31 this year. We’ve seen a 30 percent increase in holiday reservations during the Eid and Spring Break period,” stated Raheesh Babu, COO of musafir.com. Travel outside the country has increased.

Families continue to choose South East Asian countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia; African countries like South Africa, Kenya, and Zanzibar; CIS countries like Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan; and Switzerland, Italy, and Latvia. Babu said, “Compared to last month, travel rates have gone up by about 15-20%. Last-minute reservations around Eid and Spring Break mainly cause this increase.

Additionally, people of the UAE are taking advantage of the chance to invite friends and family to celebrate Eid, which is driving an increase in incoming travel. Compared to the previous month, the number of holiday reservations has climbed by almost 25%.
