UAE Temperatures Drop to 2ºC: This Week, will the Temperature Rise?

Heavy rainfall and near-freezing temperatures were experienced in many parts of the United Arab Emirates during the weekend. According to the Khaleej Times, a meteorologist explained why temperatures fell to below 2°C on Saturday and Sunday despite the nation’s varied rainfall.

Inconsistent weather is caused by fluctuating atmospheric pressure systems, which causes winter temperatures in the United Arab Emirates to fluctuate, according to Dr. Ahmed Habib, a climate expert at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). These kinds of adjustments are normal during the winter months.

Warmer weather is predicted for at least a few days this week, just days after the UAE saw its coldest day, with locals noticing frost and ice crystals. “We will see stable weather conditions as high pressure builds over the region and lasts until about January 7,” Dr. Habib stated.

Beginning Monday, the nation will be affected by easterly and southeasterly winds, which will cause temperatures to rise gradually, according to Dr. Habib. It is anticipated that temperatures would rise by roughly four degrees.

For instance, the highest temperature in the interior regions was between 24 and 25°C at the end of last week. On January 6–7, however, daytime highs will reach 28–29°C. The air mass influencing the temperature will determine the precise temperature change.
