Under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, nine tankers of potable water have been delivered to the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility in the Gaza Strip, as part of efforts to ease access to water for residents and displaced people, extend water distribution to different areas and assist municipalities to respond to increasing water requirements.
The provision of the tankers was part of the humanitarian efforts of the Dar Al Ber Society and Fujairah Charity Association to support the people of Gaza and local authorities and strengthen their capacity to deliver water services to residents and displaced people. The tankers were delivered to the Gaza Water Utility during a press conference attended by representatives of local and international organisations, mayors and community stakeholders, media outlets and mukhtars, in a bid to highlight support efforts for the water sector and essential services in the Gaza Strip.
The UAE continues to support numerous sectors in Gaza and help the population during the water crisis facing the Strip,” said Mahmoud Hassanein, Director of Projects at the Support Committee for Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
