The Honourable An Dhs10 billion expansion proposal for the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai was approved on Monday by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. When the DEC is finished, it will be the biggest purpose-built indoor event and exhibition space in the area. The extension is essential to Expo City Dubai’s goal of developing into a thriving economic centre propelled by international exhibitions and events and is a component of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.
“We have approved the master plan for the expansion of the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai, with an investment of Dhs10 billion,” stated Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This legendary location will not only grow to be the biggest indoor event and exhibition space in the area, but it will also raise the bar for industry excellence on a worldwide scale. Our goal is to solidify Dubai’s position as the world’s preeminent hub for large-scale events and exhibitions, as well as the premier destination for such events.
“Our events provide as platforms for bringing people, ideas, and opportunities from all over the world together,” he continued. They drive economic expansion, increase travel, and make substantial contributions to the advancement of our national initiatives, bolstering Dubai’s expanding stature as a major international economic centre.
