Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) MD & CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer has formally opened the 18th edition of Light + Intelligent Building Middle East, the premier gathering for the building technology and lighting sectors in the region. Over 440 exhibitors from 34 nations will be present at the expo, which will run until January 16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Light and Intelligent Structure The theme for this year’s Middle East, which will be attended by government officials, business executives, and international groups, is “Building Commonality Through Community, Creativity, and Culture.”
A number of exposition stands, including LEDVANCE, Honeywell Lighting (Vesra), Illus (Marketing Home Group), Vimar, Broadlink, and NuLumenTek, were visited by Al Tayer during the opening tour.
“Over 150 speakers will be featured across three stages at THINKLIGHT, InSpotLight, and the Smart Building Summit at Light + Intelligent Building Middle East 2025,” said Abdul Muhsin, Show Director for the event. On January 16, more than 550 professionals from the worldwide lighting industry will gather for a distinguished awards ceremony that will culminate a range of expert-led workshops.
Azmi S. Aboulhoda, CEO of EMergy, who was chairing the Smart Building Summit, gave the opening remarks. “Regulatory Standards and Compliance Governing Smart Buildings,” “Cybersecurity in Smart Buildings,” and “The ROI of Smart Buildings” are just a few of the subjects that will be covered during the summit’s three days.
